Meanwhile, in the Antarctic...

... look what Ryan found in the goody cupboard at his base...

People often find their way to this blog by googling "rhubarb phobia" but I don't think this is quite what they would be expecting.

Ryan has promised me he didn't write it himself! As long as he also didn't eat it himself, then all is okay in the world. Apart from the nightmares I'm going to have tonight about tinned rhubarb! TINNED RHUBARB!!! How wrong is that ?!

I've got dibs on it, though. I will be eating it soon!

And yes, down here we'll buy anything in a tin or powder form. Surprised I haven't seen powdered wine yet.

Are you going to do what it says on the tin, Ryan?

We bought boxed wine at the Standa in Rome for 69 euro. I thought that was stooping pretty low, but tinned rhubarb? I don't think that's even marketed in America!

tinned rhubarb is lovely with custard, especially with a wee bit of coconut sprinkled on top. not sure if those are available, so maybe just heat it gently and sprinkle sugar on top.

you can buy cartons of wine for 2 euro in lidl. isn't lidl fantastic?!

my condolences on the horses.

Oops, my bad. That was .69 euro! The exchange rate hasn't gotten that bad, yet!

.69 Euro? I'm living in the wrong country!

Julie - I'm off to the Metfield Christmas Fete now, and Uncle Gordon is going to be Santa! I shall sit on his knee, just like you did at my wedding!
